Kontext Performance and Health is an online-based coaching service, for the ACL rehab population.

With expansive knowledge in ACL rehab and performance training, founder Josh Irwanto, blends the two worlds together to 'bridge the gap'. This allows for a structured plan for you to graduate from ACL rehab safely and efficiently. The goal is to feel confident in your knees for activities involving any sport, life, family life, travels, and more.

To truly optimize your ACL rehab, we track your protein and water intake, as well as sleep and recovery habits. This is done automatically from your smartwatch to the app!
PROGRESSIONS, NOT PLATEAUS
We don't believe in doing the same exercises for months on end. Just like an athlete trying to get stronger and more athletic, there will be frequent progressions in your ACL program., tailored towards your end-goals.
OBJECTIVE MILESTONES
To truly monitor progress, we track your strength and power metrics (jump height, reactive strength, etc) through advanced app technology. This helps to find current deficiencies and plan our programming accordingly!

Josh has 10+ years of experience as a Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach with a diverse background in high-level performance and rehabilitation. With a Master of Science in Physiotherapy (MScPT), a Master of Clinical Science (MClSc) in Sport & Exercise Medicine, and certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS), Josh offers a unique blend of skillsets to optimize both performance and recovery.
Over the last decade, Josh has helped hundreds of ACLers regain confidence, rebuild strength, and reclaim their athleticism—often surpassing their pre-injury levels. Additionally, Josh has been fortunate to hold leadership roles across diverse settings, from private performance clinics to professional sports organizations. His unique ability to bridge the gap between injury rehabilitation and athletic performance has made him a sought-after expert for clients and athletes wanting to return to sports and peak performance.

Who is Kontext ACL for? Kontext ACL is for the active and motivated individual who is rehabilitating from ACL injury/surgery. If you're active, frustrated with limitations, and want a clear path back to performance - this is for you!
Are the programs online or in-person? All our programs are delivered entirely online through the TeamBuildr app. Each program has been thoughtfully designed with over a decade of expertise in physical therapy and strength and conditioning, ensuring a purposeful and effective experience.
Can I enroll in a program if I’m not an athlete? Yes, our programs are designed for anyone looking to return to activity or sport after an ACL injury. Whether you're a recreational athlete or just someone looking to move better, we can help!
How much are the programs? Our custom coaching programs start at $850 USD per month. Each program is tailored to your specific needs, goals, and current level of performance. To maintain a high standard of coaching and ensure we're the right fit for each other, we require a short application before getting started.
What if I have questions during the program? You’ll have 24/7 access to support to your ACL coach through the Teambuildr app. We’re here to ensure your success every step of the way!
Can I start a program if I’m still seeing a physical therapist? Yes! Our program is designed to complement traditional physical therapy and bridge the gap between rehab and performance.
What happens if I miss a session? Our programs are self-paced and flexible, allowing you to complete sessions on your schedule. However, consistency is key to achieving results, so we encourage you to stay on track whenever possible. If you fall behind, you can pick up where you left off.
Can I use my physical therapy insurance coverage to pay for the programs? No, our programs are not eligible for insurance coverage. They are performance and rehabilitation-focused services offered outside the scope of traditional billing.
